Accept & reject statement-based uncertainty models

چکیده
The agent gives an assessment by making statements about gambles f : Accepting (⊕) implies a commitment: (i) outcome ω ∈Ω is determined, (ii) he receives the payoff f (ω). Rejecting (⊖) implies that he considers accepting f unreasonable; this is relevant when combining assessments. An assessment is a pair A ∶= ⟨A⪰;A≺⟩ in A ∶= 2 × 2 of sets of acceptable respectively dispreferred gambles. Unresolved gambles belong to neither category: A⌣ ∶= (A⪰∪A≺) ; Confusing gambles belong to both categories: A∶=A⪰∩A≺. ⊕ ⊕

Using DEA for Classification in Credit Scoring
Credit scoring is a kind of binary classification problem that contains important information for manager to make a decision in particularly in banking authorities. Obtained scores provide a practical credit decision for a loan officer to classify clients to reject or accept for payment loan. For this sake, in this paper a data envelopment analysis- discriminant analysis (DEA-DA) approach is us...
متن کاملRelaxing the Irrevocability Requirement for Online Graph Algorithms
Online graph problems are considered in models where the irrevocability requirement is relaxed. Motivated by practical examples where, for example, there is a cost associated with building a facility and no extra cost associated with doing it later, we consider the Late Accept model, where a request can be accepted at a later point, but any acceptance is irrevocable. Similarly, we also consider...
متن کاملEstimating uncertainty in SSD-based feature tracking
SSD-based feature trackers have enjoyed growing popularity in recent years, particularly in the field of visual servo control of robotic manipulators. These trackers use sum-ofsquared-differences correlation measures to locate target features in sequences of images. The results can then be used to estimate the motion of objects in the scene, to infer the 3D structure of the scene, or to control...
متن کاملAccept/Reject Criteria for Structural Ceramics: Probablistic Models for Inclusion Initiated Fracture in Ceramics
Fracture tests on hot-pressed silicon nitride containing several types of inclusions have been conducted. Fracture models pertinent to each inclusion type have been proposed and correlated with the data. The resultant fracture probability relations are one of the key inputs to accept/reject decisions for nondestructive failure prediction.
متن کاملThe Decision Making under Law Uncertainty by Means of Fuzzy Logic
The article deals with the use of fuzzy logic at support of manager decision making. The brief description of fuzzy logic and the process of calculation are mentioned. The use is demonstrated on the example such as the decision making whether to accept, entertain or reject the client of law office. The scheme of models, rule blocks, attributes and their membership functions are mentioned. The u...
